FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2014

Panel Tastings

10:30 am – 12:00 am

Pfeiffer State Park

“The Terroir Talk” panel discussion with Rajat Parr, Friday 10:30am at The Big Sur Lodge. The name says it all. We’re hoping for a fascinating discussion on the importance of Terroir and how it translates to the finished product? What are the best varieties in combination with the specific sites? Which wines are the most transparent and speak clearest to their specific locations? How much does terroir have to do with the finished wine in the glass and how does it express itself there? What are we looking for in the glass? Lots of questions to be answered and I’m sure not easily answered, but truly an interesting discussion.

Panelists include: Paul Draper, Ridge Vineyards, Pax Mahle, Ryan Glabb, RYME Wines, Bibiana Rave, Shared Notes, and Josh Jensen, Calera.
