Jacob Burrell

Chef Jacob Burrell fell in love with Big Sur decades ago after moving to California to pursue cooking. The wilderness in the hills, the sea, the smell of the salt and wet pine in the air and the precious community there hold a permanent place in his heart.  Jacob was the chef of the Big Sur bakery, a place that helped sear that bond long before working and living in the community.  

After recently relocating with his family to northwest Arkansas, he joined the acclaimed team at Conifer, a restaurant in Bentonville, AR.  With a wonderful team at conifer, a growing community of friends and farmers, and bike trails for days, the parallels are many between this new chapter in Arkansas and the bounty of Big Sur.
