    Shuttles will whisk you away to some of Big Sur’s most spectacular and unique properties. One-part Hiking with Stemware, one-part Garden Party, one-part mystery. You will experience wine and food tasting in amazing private North Coast Properties that are open to only you and only on this day.

    Panel Tasting, American Sparkling Wines

    10AM

    Bubbles for Breakfast, an exploration into the world of small producers of new American Sparkling Wines, from Pet Nats to Methode Champagnios. We are thrilled to have Larry Stone, MS as our moderator on this morning tour of California producers. Some of California’s great boutique producers discuss and share their love of sparkling wines. This year’s panel is hosted by Ventana Inn at the Loft and includes Raj Parr of Domaine de la Cote, Mathew Rorick of Forlorn Hope, Chris Cottrel of Under the Wire and Scott Caracioli of Caracioli Cellars.

    Friday Pinot Walkabout

    Friday afternoon brings you one of our revered events. Post Ranch Inn, one of most luxurious small resort hotels in the world, has invited us back to partner in hosting this annual event. The site for this serene afternoon is set in the Sierra Mar Restaurant’s chef garden with 20 wineries and 5 chefs that will make for a very memorable day. The setting is matched only by the talented wine makers who are inspired by this seductive grape.

    “A Return to the Big Sur Jazz Festival”

    At the Henry Miller Library. While the rest of the Peninsula is celebrating the anniversary of the Summer of Love, we are celebrating our fond memories of the great years of the Big Sur Jazz Festival. For those of you who remember, lucky enough to have attended or just wished you had, there may be nowhere more special than under the Big Sur redwoods to enjoy jazz, food and wine with your friends. Delicious offerings from Salt Wood Restaurant, Chef Brandon Miller/Alvarado Street Grill, and Chef Dyon Foster, to name a few. Monterey Jazz Festival veteran musicians Eddie Mendenhall, Dennis Murphy, Mike Lent, Brian Stock and Patrick Tregenza take the stage.

    The Sommelier Dinner

    6-10PM

    Big Sur Roadhouse will be the setting for a team of truly great Sommeliers showcasing their talents and passion for food and wine pairings. Expect some great surprises; wines that you may never try again. This will be a coursed dinner with multiple wine pairings per course. Each course will be led by a pair of Somms. Come be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime event. Book now as seats are limited to 40 people for this very special evening. This event showcases our collaboration with Glazer Food & Beverage.

    Hiking with Stemware

    10.30-3.30PM

    A truly unique event on the amazing Rancho Rico property. A condor has been seen perched on the fence near the barn and red-tailed hawks can be seen playing above the ridges of this spectacular property, home of the now famed Big Sur Fiddle Camp. We are always grateful to the Chappellet family for hosting us for this event, and delicious lunch to follow. Limited to 36 guests.

    This has become our marquee event….a rock and roll, no holds barred, let your hair down, Saturday night special showcasing amazing chefs and 20+ wineries. Bring your dancing shoes!
    Joining our line of wonderful wine producers, are epicurean delights from Chefs Todd Fisher,Paul Corsentino and many more. The Carolyn Sills Combo from Santa Cruz and local funky fun band Johnny Tsunami and the Shoulder Hoppers will play for us under redwoods.

    The Sunday Walkabout Marketplace

    At Loma Vista Gardens A beautiful outdoor location right next door to the Big Sur Bakery. Walk around and meet the winemakers of the wines you’ve been enjoying for years and enjoy small bites from some of the best restaurants our area has to offer. Enjoying the offerings of local artisans along with live music will make for the loveliest way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Big Sur and help wrap up the festival weekend.

    Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

    You must be 21 and older to attend our events

    What can/can’t I bring to the event?

    Dress is casual and comfortable…choose your shoes wisely for our hiking and outdoor events.

    Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

    Yes, please make all necessary changes by no later than 48 hours before event begins.

    What is the cancellation policy?

    If we cancel the event for any reason, including weather and acts of nature, you will receive a full refund.

    PLEASE NOTE: There will be no shuttle service from Carmel or Peninsula cities to Big Sur. Once in Big Sur, we are happy to shuttle you around to our events. The Big Sur shuttle schedule will be available on our website and in our program. Stay tuned!
